Dr Nithya Sridharan graduated in medicine from the prestigious Thanjavur Medical College and completed DO in Ophthalmology at Aravind Eye Hospital and Postgraduate Institute, Madurai. She then pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the same institute.
